Arborescent herb 10 m tall growing in forest clearing. Frequent. Trunk 2-3 m tall, to 10 cm diameter, dark brown. Petiole 1 m long, leaf blade 2-3 m long, ovate, truncate at apex. Inflorescence terminal. Prumose throughout. Branch bracts 3-4 distichouse, 10-15 cm apart to 40 cm long, 12-13 cm wide; light yellowish green, with thick waxy covering.
