Sub-shrub to 1 m, uncommon. Stems rather virgate. Foliar gland dry in afternoon. Petals bright pink-red. Staminal column, filaments and style branches pink-red, strongly deflexed; stigmas held next to petals. Anthers yellow. Stigmas deep red.
